Goaltending is not one-size-fits-all — and elite performance never comes from cookie-cutter coaching. At Anderson Goaltending, every athlete is recognized as an individual, bringing a unique combination of athleticism, instincts, structure, and mindset to the crease. Our role is to identify that edge and build around it.

Some goalies win with explosiveness and compete level. Others dominate through precision, patience, and technical detail. Neither is superior — they are simply different paths to elite success. We do not mold athletes into a single system or style. Instead, we equip each goaltender with the tools to become the most complete, confident, and consistent version of themselves. Strengths become weapons. Weaknesses become areas of calculated growth. Every toolbox is built with intention — then refined, adjusted, and elevated over time.

This is where Focused Performance lives.

Focused Performance means individualized development. It means intentional reps, deliberate refinement, and training with purpose. It means understanding the athlete in front of us and building a plan that sharpens their identity, strengthens their mindset, and prepares them to perform under pressure.

At Anderson Goaltending, Focused Performance is not just a slogan — it is our standard. We are committed to maximizing potential, elevating confidence, and developing goaltenders who excel — on the ice and beyond it.

About AGD

Meet the Coaches

Patrick Anderson-Founder/Lead instructor

I grew up in a family full of goalies, my grandpa, uncles, and dad, in other words there was never a shortage of coaching!

As a young goalie I focused heavily on the fundamentals of movement and the game of hockey, which I believe propelled me into a challenging, yet successful career as a goaltender in the great state of Minnesota.

People often ask me why I coach, I always bring up the moment of realization as the goalies finally figure something out, on or off the ice.

Beginning my sophomore year of high-school I began coaching with Premier Goaltending, since then I have enjoyed coaching so much I decided to start my own business!
As a coach I try to build fundamentals in goalies, while pushing goalies to still use their athleticism.

Wyatt Knott-Lead Instructor

I’ve been playing hockey my whole life, starting with Rogers and growing through every level of the game. I spent two years playing varsity hockey, where i got my skills and pushed myself to improve. While playing for Rogers, I was able to start every game with the team in the 2025 State High School Hockey Tournament!

Now, I am excited to take the next step in my hockey journey and will be playing junior hockey after high school, eager to continue developing and compete at a higher level. I look forward to helping at AGD helping young goalies improve and get them to the next level

Wyatt Pilkenton-Station Lead

I have been playing hockey since I was 3 years old, my father was a goalie and I followed in his footsteps! I have been participating in goalie camps and sessions for as long as I can remember. I focused on using my bigger frame to gain advantages over shooters and focused on movement as that is key to becoming a great goaltender. Playing throughout high school at the varsity level and now at the ACCHA level I have gained much knowledge. I coach to help the younger generation learn the art of goaltending. I love the excitement in a young goalie's eyes when they finally perfect a move or make a great save. It reminds me much of myself when I was younger trying to learn the game. I began coaching with AGD after my sophomore year of college. I strive to help others like those before who helped me.

Michael Loh-Lead Skating Instructor and Shooter

I grew up playing hockey since I was 4 years old. I have numerous family members that played hockey growing up. I played high school hockey for 3 years and have continued to play the game.

Through my time as a player, my goal was to find a weak spot on a goalie to give me the advantage to score. I focused on fundamentals for power and agility in my skating and edge work. I believe this can help the goalies to develop the power and agility in and out of the crease.

As a coach I strive to help develop the next generation of goalies through my knowledge of shooting and skating.
